July 4 to 8 , 2018, in Würzburg/Germany
The course concentrates on Quaternary paleosols and related sediments. Soil forming processes as well as polypedogenesis are highlighted and related to geomorphodynamics, climate change, and
(paleo-)environment.
The course is based on a 2.5-days theoretical part, 1-day field excursion, and a microscopical session. Participants are instructed to learn the international state of knowledge, methods, and
systematics. The course program includes a workshop on "Paleosols and climate change", Saturday, July 7 .
